Scope and developer identity

This Privacy Policy applies to the ScamShield Learn Android application, package com.scamshield.learn.safety, and this informational website. ScamShield Learn is independent educational software and is not a bank, delivery provider, law-enforcement agency, government service, cybersecurity service, or fund-recovery provider.

What happens when you analyze a message

Message analysis is optional. When you tap Analyze message, the text in the input field is sent over an encrypted Internet connection through ScamShield's API gateway to a third-party AI service. The purpose of that transmission is to generate the analysis you requested.

The Android app keeps the pasted text in memory while it prepares and displays the response. It does not write that text to its Room database, preferences, saved files, analytics, advertising systems, or a message-history screen.

Network infrastructure and the AI provider necessarily process the request and technical connection information to return a response. Their security, abuse-prevention, and retention controls may apply to that processing. ScamShield Learn does not use submitted text for advertising, profiling, or analytics.

Do not paste passwords, one-time codes, card or account numbers, identity documents, or other sensitive information.

Information stored on your device

ScamShield Learn stores practice answers and category progress in its private local database. It also stores appearance and onboarding preferences. This information is not included in an AI request and is not sent to the developer.

Recovery checklist selections are temporary and reset when you leave that screen. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app removes local data, subject to Android and any device-level backup tools you control.

This website

This website has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking pixel, form, or ScamShield cookie. Its hosting provider may process basic request information such as an IP address, browser details, and timestamps to deliver and secure the site under the provider's own terms.

Your choices

• You can use the bundled library, practice questions, and recovery guidance without submitting a message for AI analysis.
• You can clear the message field at any time.
• You can clear ScamShield Learn's local data through Android settings or uninstall the app.
• You can avoid including personal or sensitive information in any message you choose to analyze.

Children's privacy

ScamShield Learn does not knowingly build profiles about children or anyone else. The educational app may be used by families with supervision appropriate to their circumstances. Users should not submit a child's personal information for AI analysis.

Security, accuracy, and retention

Local app data is protected by Android's application sandbox. AI requests use HTTPS. No transmission or service can be guaranteed completely secure, and AI output can be incomplete or mistaken. A message without highlighted warning signs is not guaranteed to be safe.

Because the app does not keep pasted-message history, it provides no history export or deletion control for that text. Local practice data remains until app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled.

Changes to this policy

If ScamShield Learn's data practices change, this page will be updated before the related app release. The effective date above identifies the current policy.
